Duval Street, Key West, Live Around the Clock

You are looking at the corner of Duval and Greene streets in Key West, Florida, from a camera mounted under the awning of Sloppy Joe’s Bar. It streams 24 hours a day. This is the busiest corner of the busiest street on the island, a few minutes’ walk from the sunset crowd at Mallory Square and a little over a mile from the buoy that marks the Southernmost Point in the continental United States.

What you’re watching

Cam 1 looks along the sidewalk outside Sloppy Joe’s and out across the intersection. It is the wide view: pedestrians, bicycles, scooters, delivery trucks and whatever parade happens to be coming down the street.

Cam 2 looks back at the front of the bar from across the street, with “Sloppy Joe’s Bar” painted across the white facade and the doors open to the sidewalk.

When to tune in

• Early morning. Street sweepers, delivery trucks, joggers and Key West’s free-roaming roosters have the corner to themselves.
• Midday. Day-trippers and cruise passengers fill the sidewalks, and the pedicabs come out.
• Late afternoon. Foot traffic drifts toward the Gulf end of the street for the nightly Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square.
• After dark. The neon comes on, the bands start, and the corner stays busy until the bars close at 4 a.m.
